US Customs Holiday Schedule for 2024

Holiday dates are important to keep in mind throughout the year to plan your operation accordingly around the special schedule for observance dates. 

On December 29th, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a list of Federal holidays for the calendar year 2024.

The following days are designated as Federal holidays:

  • New Year’s Day (observed) – Monday, January 1st,
  • Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. – Monday, January 15th;
  • Washington’s Birthday – Monday, February 19th;
  • Memorial Day – Monday, May 27th;
  • Juneteenth National Independence Day (observed) – Monday, June 19th;
  • Independence Day – Tuesday, July 4th;
  • Labor Day – Monday, September 2nd;
  • Columbus Day – Monday, October 14th;
  • Veterans Day – Friday, November 11th;
  • Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 28th;
  • Christmas Day (observed) – Monday, December 25th.
